A wool blend skirt suit by comme des garcons. Made for spring summer 2001 from a grey herringbone fabric, it combines an open (unfastened) jacket and short, wideish skirt. The jacket has exaggerated peak lapels and flap pockets, while the skirt has an asymmetrically placed flap.
Lengths of camo-patterned tape (which were used liberally throughout the SS2001 collection) have been sewn onto both the jacket and the skirt, causing distortions to both. The jacket for example, actually does have a button, but this has been sewn over. In the case of the skirt, the tape has been used to secure large tucks on both the front, and the back.
